It's very hard to find a protein powder with ingredients you can pronounce, as well as avoiding artificial sweeteners and other undesired ingredients. It's a cinch to make your own!

If you have a Vitamix, you could blend all the ingredients together. I have a Nutri-Bullet, so because of the size, I used this method:
Blend the oats and add to a medium mixing bowl.
Then blend the hemp seeds and add to the bowl.
Then blend the chia and pumpkin seeds and add to the bowl.
Whisk in the cacao powder and salt.
Whisk out any lumps.
Store in an airtight container.
Keep refrigerated, or freeze. It will last longer in the freezer.
Blend into your favorite smoothie. 3 heaping tablespoon has approximately 9-10 grams of protein.
- Do not store on the countertop because the oil from the nuts can go rancid.
- I like to add a little maple syrup or honey to my smoothie, but if you like your protein powder sweet you can buy maple syrup powder or stevia.
