This new Korean drink trend, Dalgona Coffee is taking over the internet and for good reason! This super easy coffee is bold, delicious, and easy to make! Make your 5-minute Dalgona coffee | vegan style with creamy coconut milk!
Making 5-minute Dalgona Coffee is easy!
Yes, making this cold coffee drink is not only easy but like the title of the recipe says you can make it in just 5 minutes! This recipe is as simple as taking equal amounts of coffee and sugar and whisking or blending it together with hot water until it becomes light and frothy.
You can simply mix these 3 ingredients together with a whisk if you would like but be prepared for a decent arm workout. I don’t mind a good right arm workout, so I went to whisking this by hand. If you want to skip the arm workout just grab your hand mixer and whip this frothy coffee up in just a minute or two. You will know its finished when it forms a peak (just like meringue does) and is light brown in color.
What’s the best milk to use for Dalgona Coffee?
Next is the milk. Add a few cubes of ice to the bottom of your glass and fill your glass of choice ¾ the way full with milk. You can use whichever milk you prefer.
I can’t stomach drinking cows milk, so I opt for this 5-minute coconut milk! This easy coconut milk has a touch of sweetness, a hint of vanilla, and it is super creamy. I think that oat milk or almond milk would also work great. If you are a cow milk fan you could also make it that way!
Your Dalgona Coffee is ready to drink!
After you add your choice of milk and ice to a glass, top with the frothy instant coffee mix. With a spoon give everything a stir. You can even top your cold coffee drink with a dust of cinnamon or cacao powder!
This beautiful, quick 5-minute Dalgona coffee | vegan is perfect for entertaining with its beautiful presentation and creamy bold flavor! This coffee would be amazing served with these Almond flour cookies!
